Crystal Dawn (Herring) Cook

Mrs. Crystal Dawn Cook, 43, of Fayetteville passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2017.

Crystal was a long time member of the Fayetteville community and worked within the Cumberland County School System. She actively worked with the Care Clinic and Party with a Purpose, as well as supporting Cause for Paws and the Cape Fear Cancer Center. The latter of which she was a cancer patient of for almost twelve years. 

She is survived by her husband, Jason Cook of the home; a daughter, Megan Cook of the home; a son, David Michael Cook of the home; her mother, Roxanne Dailey of Leesville, La.; her father, John Herring of Thailand; and one sister, Jessica Haymon of Leesville, La.

Crystal leaves behind many loved ones who will remember her for her strength and grace, and she leaves knowing the positive impact she has left on them and the world in which she lived.

The family will receive friends from 5 pm - 7 pm Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home. A funeral will be held at a 2 pm Sunday, September 10, 2017 in Mount Bethel Baptist Church 3255 Belview Rd Leesville, LA 71446 with burial to follow in Mt. Bethel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cancer Center CFVMC 1638 Owen Dr, Fayetteville, NC 28304.
