Christen Gale Mullins, 34, of Fayetteville passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018.
Growing up, Chris enjoyed riding dirt bikes with family and friends. In high school Chris spent a lot of time lifting weights with his brother, Justin and would often go to the gym to get a good workout in before school. Chris took culinary classes in high school and was always experimenting in his grandma’s kitchen. He loved doodling and would draw sketches of dogs, unique cartoon characters, and other things.
Chris was very passionate about his work as a barber where his artistry was displayed in every cut and color he did. He was well loved and respected by his clients and who would sometimes wait for hours for Chris to bring their vision to life. During his time with Sin Parlor, Chris found a second family among his coworkers. A relationship that began as an appreciation for Chris’ professional talent, quickly became a deep and personal bond.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gale R. Mullins; his maternal grandparents, Antonio Granillo and Polly Granillo; and paternal grandfather, Steve Jacobs.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Armida Chavis and husband, Charlie; brothers, Justin Mullins and wife, Jessica, Stephen Chavis and Dakota Chavis; and his beloved grandmother whom he lived with, Peggy B. Jacobs.
The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm Saturday January 5, 2019 at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Sunday, January 6, 2019 in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
