Carrie Lee Wingate

Carrie Lee McLaurin Wingate accepted her invitation to be with her Lord and Savior in the wee hours of September 14, 2017. 

She was the last of the Gilbert A. McLaurin original clan from Eastover, NC. She resided in Hillsborough, NC for the past 12 years. 

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and nine brothers and sisters. She was also preceded by her husband Edison Wingate, Sr and youngest son, Benjamin “Tony” Wingate. 

Carrie is survived by her children William A. Wingate (Jeanne), Shirley Wingate Babb, Edison Jr (Jackie), all of TX; Debbie Wingate (Pam), Ore. and Susan Wingate of N.C.; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. 

A memorial service will be held at 7 pm Saturday, September 16, 2017 in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Archie Barringer officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 7 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
