Amy Lynn Mitchell

Amy Lynn Mitchell, 42, from Garner, NC passed away at her home on Friday, November 8, 2019.

She was born in Fayetteville on August 23, 1977. Amy attended Douglas Byrd High School and Fayetteville Technical College, receiving her Associate of Science Degree (AS). She continued her education at Methodist University earning a Bachelor of Science (BA) in Psychology.

Amy was an active volunteer in several organizations, serving as a board member for the Triangle Technical Recruiter Association, the Demolition Crew for Habitat for Humanity, a Contributor to the Outreach Ministries and a volunteer for the SPCA of Wake County.

Amy moved to Raleigh in 2008 and immediately gained many close friends who have always been dear to her. She also had a strong love for her dogs, Gracie and Callie, as well as her cat, Marley.

Although Amy will be dearly missed, those who knew and loved her will remember the wonderful times she had with them.

Amy is survived by her mother, Brenda G. Beard and husband, Paul Beard of Fayetteville; her father, George F. Mitchell of Hope Mills; her beloved brother, Mark D. Mitchell and wife, Stacey of Raeford; her stepbrothers, Christopher P. Beard of Wilmington, Michael W. Beard of Fayetteville and Robert S. Beard and wife, Tonya of Saint Pauls; her niece, Jessika Mitchell of Colorado Springs, CO; Devin Mitchell of Oak Harbor, WA and many close aunts, uncles and cousins.

A visitation will be held at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home on Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 1 to 2 PM followed by a Memorial Service at 2 PM.
