Judith Woods Ward

Judith W. (Reynolds) Ward of Fayetteville passed away on October 2, 2022. Born Cherrie Judith Woods in Waycross, GA on July 13, 1943, to the late, Josiah and Annie Woods.

Judith was a follower of Christ in life, and now with Him in eternity. She graduated from Savannah High School in 1960 and later retired from the Fayetteville Observer.

Judith is survived by her daughter, Teresa E. (Reynolds) Ader of Fayetteville; son, Jimmy T. Reynolds, II. of Fayetteville; sister, Jocelyn Lott of San Dimas, Ca; her 3 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Braxton Ward of Fayetteville; brother, Joe Woods of Savannah, GA; brother, Johnny Woods of Atlanta, GA; and daughter, Cherrie (Reynolds) Jones of Hope Mills.

Judith had many hobbies such as ministry to children at Church (evangelism, discipleship, and charity), gardening, gathering with family, and collecting flamingo memorabilia.

A visitation will be held at 11 to 11:45 AM on Friday, October 7, 2022, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 12 PM in the Chapel. Burial to follow the service at Cross Creek Cemetery.
