Sherldon Chavis (Abbott) Patterson

Sherldon Chavis Patterson, 81, of Fayetteville passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Landis Chavis.

Mrs. Patterson was a member of the Highland Ladies Golf Association and a member of Temple Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn Wayne Patterson of the home; two daughters, Sherry Pfefferle and husband, Don of Fayetteville and Jan Ballance of Fayetteville; a son, Landis Reed Chavis, Jr. of LaGrange; three stepchildren, Steve Patterson and wife, Ivonne of Silver Springs, Md., Eric Patterson and wife, Ann of Penn Hook, Va. and Alan Patterson and wife, Paula of McLean, Va.; two grandchildren, Taylor Ballance of Fayetteville and Tracey Chagnon of Charlotte; and one great grandchild, Finley Chagnon of Charlotte.

 A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Thursday, December 21, 2017 in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kelly Bullard and Rev. Mack Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45 pm to 1:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
