Rowena Darlene McLaurin

Rowena Darlene McLaurin, 86, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, went to be with her heavenly father, Friday, April 7, 2017.

Darlene lived her life as an example of Christ to others. She laid a Christian foundation for her family and future generations.

Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Reese McLaurin; her son, Tim McLaurin and her brother, Kenneth Murphy.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen Jernigan and husband, Donnie of Fayetteville, Kelli Moore and husband, Chris of Godwin; three sons, Bruce McLaurin and wife, Lara, Keith McLaurin and Danny McLaurin all of Fayetteville; one sister,  Barbara Doucette of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; two brothers, Butch Murphy of Fayetteville and David Murphy of Wade; several grandchildren, Mike  and Jennifer Jernigan, David Jernigan, Jason and Jenni Jernigan, Wayne  and Erica McLaurin, Crystal and Darby LaJoye, Meghan and Dan Rodriguez, Christopher and Devin  McLaurin, April and John Edwards, Matthew McLaurin, Christopher and Darien Moore, Hannah and Blair Palko, Brandon Petzel, Dawson Petzel; and great grandchildren, Jonathan, Lydia and Joanna Jernigan, Jessica and Kaitlyn Ransom, Caitlin and Brandon Turlington, Emma and Jake McLaurin, Chace Edwards, Kyle LaJoye, Isabel Rodriguez, and Braelie Moore.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J.D. Tew officiating. Burial will follow at McLaurin Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m at the funeral home.
