Retired Staff Sgt. Charles Francis Weyant

Retired Staff Sgt. Charles "The Hawk" Francis Weyant, 80, of Fayetteville passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018.

Mr. Weyant was an Army Veteran of three tours in Vietnam, an inventor, a published poet and writer of many stories and poems, and a passionate photographer. He was a fisherman and wonderful family man.

He is survived by his wife Johanna Weyant of the home; daughter, Charlene Weyant; two sons, Lee Weyant and Fallon Weyant; a brother, Carl Weyant; and a large extended family completes the circle around Charles.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 2 pm Monday, February 19, 2018 in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery with Rev. Keith Carter officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home
