Ret. SFC John Francis Lynch

Ret. SFC John Francis Lynch, 95, of Fayetteville passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017.

Mr. Lynch was a veteran of the US Army, proudly serving 32 years.  He was a volunteer at the VA Medical Center in Fayetteville serving for over 20 years and dedicating 17,500 hours of service.  He also was a member of Phoenix Lodge #8 A.F. & A.M., York Rite and Scottish Rite Bodies, Sudan Shrine Temple, member of the Loyal Order of Jesters, member of the Knights of Pythias, member of the Cumberland County Shrine Club and the Hope Mills Shrine Club.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Teruko Lynch.

Left to cherish his memories are his son, John H. Lynch and wife, Sharon of Carolina Shores; daughters, Joanne Lovick and husband, David and Barbara Thomas and husband, Jeff all of Fayetteville; a brother, Eddie; four sisters, Anna, Jane, Mary and Florence; four grandchildren, Jeff Lovick, and wife, Michelle, Tara Turner and husband, Robert, J.C. Lynch and wife, Kaley and Jessica Lynch; three great grandchildren, Robbie Turner, Kaelyn Lovick and Makenzie Turner; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service with full military honors and masonic rites will be held at 2 pm Friday, February 17, 2017 at Cumberland Memorial Gardens with Rev. Archie Barringer officiating.

The family requests donations be made to Shriner's Children's Hospital 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
