Melba LaRue (McCloskey) Peoples

Mrs. Melba LaRue Peoples, 87, of Fayetteville passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Peoples, Jr.

She is survived by her three daughters, Cathy Treadwell and husband, Gordon of Fayetteville, Debbie Sessoms and husband, David of Fayetteville, and Cecelia Patterson and fiance, Mark Chase of Apollo Beach, Fla.; three sons, Edward W. Peoples, III of Naples, Fla., Terry Peoples and wife, Angie of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Tony Peoples and wife, Julie of Atlanta, Ga.; six granddaughters, Krissy, Courtney, Chelsea, Rebecca, Ruby, and Allison; five grandsons, Michael, Jeff, Josh, Jacob, and Brandon; and eleven great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am Saturday, December 3, 2016 in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 9:45 - 10:45 am prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
