Marvin Clifford Croson, Jr.

Mr. Marvin Clifford Croson, Jr., 64, of Fayetteville passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018.

He is survived by his wife, Della Martin of the home; a daughter, Yolanda Guidi and husband, David of Knightdale; a son, Shane Lamb and wife, Barbara of Fayetteville and brother, Danny Lamb; his mother, Ponice Croson of Knightdale; a brother, Roger Croson and wife, Diane of South Point, Ohio; a sister, Laura Zeka of Ky.; nine grandchildren, Samantha, Jonah, Buddy, Kacie, Neil, Noah, Tiffany, Brittany and Marty; and four great grandchildren, Joseph, Jacob, Little Billy and Caroline.

Our family has been blessed abundantly with the presence of Marvin in our lives. He was a gentle, loving and caring soul to everyone he met. He always put others before himself. His joy of seeing others happy was more important to him than joy for himself. Marvin always forgave anyone for anything immediately and never thought about it again. He was a rock for all of us and his love was given to us everyday. We will miss him forever and he will always be in the hearts of anyone who knew him. We find comfort knowing that he has gone on to a beautiful place where he will be pain free and find the peace he deserves.

A funeral service will be held at 3 pm Sunday, January 7, 2018 in Love Grove Baptist Church 50 Main St. Tar Heel, NC with Rev. Andy Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in Scrivens Cemetery Tar Heel, NC.
