Lois Katherine (Johnson) Council

Mrs. Lois Katherine Council, 94, of Fayetteville went home with the Lord on Tuesday, January 9, 2018.

She was born October 18, 1923 to the late Mary Katherine and William Johnson of St. Pauls in Robeson County.

A strong and beautiful woman whose life exemplified her undeniable faith and dedication to the Lord, she loved her family with all her heart.

Lois was preceded in death by her late husband, Hiram Wesley Council, Sr. and a son, Hiram Wesley Council, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Carla Council (wife of Hiram Wesley Council, Jr.), Linda Henrickson and husband, Jimmy, Joe Council and wife, Helen, all of Fayetteville,; grandchildren, Wendy Sampson and husband, Jeff of Cary, Deborah Cooper and husband, Steve of Apex, Shelly Giles of Jacksonville, Kaylyn Johnson and husband, Tim of Eastover and Joey Council of Fayetteville; her family also includes seven great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Green Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Parkton.
