Lena S. Burgess

Lena Burgess, 94, of Hope Mills, passed away December 21, 2014.

Ms. Lena Burgess was a loving mother of Janet (J.C.) Helms and grandmother of devoted granddaughter, Robin Ludlum (Shawn), granddaughter Julie Barker (Tim), five great-grandchildren, and several loving nieces and nephews.

Ms. Burgess was preceded in death by her son, Robert Fischer, parents, Pate and Catherine Starling; and siblings, Lillie Boahn, Minnie Carter, Wilma Dutter and Seavy Starling.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of your choice.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m., Tue., Dec. 23, 2014, at Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 23 at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home.
