Joan Ferroni Kelty

Joan F. Kelty, 85, of Fayetteville passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017.  

Mrs. Kelty, the daughter of the late Thelma Britt Marple and Ernest Leon Britt was born in Laurinburg October 5, 1932. 

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Louis J. Ferroni, Jr., Kent H. Barnes and Col. (Ret.) Murt F. Kelty. 

She is survived by her son, Louis J. Ferroni, III of Fayetteville; three sisters, Dianne Harris of Laurinburg, Greta Gerling (Richard) of Laurinburg and Betty Clatterbaugh (John) of Midlothian Va.; three nieces and two nephews. 

For many years, Mrs. Kelty was a dedicated volunteer with the Red Cross of Womack Army Hospital. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and Aunt. Her joyful spirit, abundant generosity and frequent kindness brought laughter and smiles to all around her.

She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.

A service will be held at 10 am Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Sandhills State Veteran Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Kelly officiating.
