James Richard Bandy

Heaven welcomed a wonderful man, Jim Bandy, Wednesday night, August 19, 2015, after a lengthy illness. Jim was born and raised in Fayetteville. He refused to live any place else. A town he dearly adored! He was proud to have served in the United States Marine Corps. His favorite saying, "Once a marine always a marine!" Jim was such a kind and gentle soul along with a great sense of humor! He never met a stranger and will be missed by so many.

He is survived by his wife Doris of 59 years; daughter, Judy and one granddaughter, Paige Nicole.

Jim is predeceased by his daughter, Kimberly Bandy; father, Wilton Claude Bandy; mother Iona Poole; brothers Wilton Claude Jr. and Earl Parks Bandy.

A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, August 24, 2015 at Hay Street United Methodist Church in Fayetteville.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to the church or your favorite charity.
