Inge Elizabeth Reid

Mrs. Inge Elizabeth Reid, 88 of Raeford passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017.

 She had a love for fitness and enjoyed swimming daily for exercise and relaxation.  She also enjoyed gardening and her little poodles.

  Inge was a loving and supportive Military spouse who loved her husband.  She was a member of the officer wife club wherein she actively supported the wives chain of command helpings young military families.

  Inge loved her sister, Margot dearly although separated by distance; she delighted when able to make and received phone calls with her to the end. 

  She was cheerful lady with a beautiful smile and loved by all who had true contact with her.

  Inge was preceded in death by her husband, Ret. Lt. Col. Richard Reid.

  Left to cherish her memory is her sister, Margot Moll of Germany; a niece, Inge Bayer; dear friends, Peter and Michaela of Germany; and her caretakers, Joe and Mary Floyd. 

A funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm Wednesday, October 25, 2017 in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Blackman, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:15 am to 12:15 pm prior the service at the funeral home.
