Henry Griggs Hutaff, Sr.

Mr. Henry Griggs Hutaff, Sr., 86, of Fayetteville passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017.

He is survived by his wife, Joelle Hutaff of the home; a son, Henry G. Hutaff, Jr. and wife Terrie of Morehead City; two daughters, Helon Hutaff Hrushka and husband, Charles of Montgomery, Ala. and Martha Maxwell Hutaff of Boise, Idaho; a step-son, Col. Tim Faulkner and wife, Lynne of Hawaii; a step daughter, Danielle Wheeler and husband, Steve of Fayetteville; eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois Mann Hutaff.

Mr. Hutaff was a UNC Chapel Hill graduate class of 1952, owner and operator of the Fayetteville Coca Cola Bottle Company for 60 years, and a lobbyist in the NC Legislature for 10 years for Coca Cola. He was an early board member of the Cumberland Community Foundation, dedicating 20 years of service to the board.  He was a member of Highland Country Club. A faithful member of Highland Presbyterian Church and always enjoyed his bible study group.

Mr. Hutaff was an avid outdoors man and enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.

A memorial service will be held at 1 pm Friday, April 14, 2017 in Highland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Thom Burleson and Dr. Ernie Johnson officiating.  Burial will precede the service at 11 am at Greenwood Cemetery in Dunn.  The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service at the church.
