Helen Zahran Stadermann

Helen Zahran Stadermann, 91, passed to her eternal home on February 19, 2018, at 3:45 am, at Edgewood Place at the Village of Brookwood in Burlington, NC. 

Helen was born in Fayetteville, NC on October 19, 1926, to Jacob and Lucille Zahran and was one of 13 children, 10 girls and 3 boys.  She was married on April 28, 1946, to Charles F. Stadermann who preceded her in death in 2009. 

She is survived by her children, Barbara Stadermann Holt (Rodney), Gregory Charles Stadermann (Gina), and Beverly Stadermann-Chester (Jon) and 3 granddaughters, 5 grandsons, 3 great granddaughters, and 4 great grandsons.   Helen has one surviving sister, Lorraine Zahran Peterson of Fayetteville, NC, and many nieces and nephews and friends whom she loved.

Helen was a devoted wife and mother, who loved her family and her Catholic faith.  She was an excellent homemaker and cook.  She loved to entertain, dance, play cards (bridge) and played tennis.  She was generous to friends and family alike.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, February 21, at Rogers and Breece.  The funeral liturgy will be celebrated by Father Sam Najjar at 10:00 am Thursday, February 22, at St. Michael the Archangel Maronite Catholic Church on Arsenal Avenue, with interment at the Mausoleum at Lafayette Park on Ramsey Street. The mercy meal will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Social Hall after interment.

Her family appreciates the loving care she received from Hospice and the staff at Blakey Hall in Elon, Homeplace of Burlington where she lived for 6 years, and Magnolia Terrace at Edgewood Place where she lived from March 2016 until her death.
