Harold K. Jennings

Retired Army SSG Harold K. Jennings, 76, of Fayetteville, passed away Friday, December 12,2014 at Cape Fear Medical Center.

Mr. Jennings was in the military for 20 years before retiring. He served two tours in Vietnam, two tours in Germany  and in the Dominican Republic.

Mr. Jennings is survived by his wife Marjorie Jennings of the home, two sons Kenneth Wayne Jennings (Laura), of Wilmington; Harold Richard Jennings and his wife, Gabriele, two stepsons, Terry Piner of Hope Mills and Larry Piner of Parkton; two granddaughters, Jennifer and Nancy Jennings; two great-grandsons, Kobe Alex and Justin Samuel Jennings; one brother, Jerry Jennings and his wife Gale of Olney, Ill; two sisters, Marie Baker and her husband Windy of Olney, Ill., and Nancy Dufrain and her husband Ed of Maryville, MO.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held on Thursday, December, 18, 2014, at 2 p.m.,  in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery with the Reverend Archie Barringer officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
