Faye M. (Grogan) Goad

Mrs. Faye M. Goad, 79, of Fayetteville passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017.

She was born August 10, 1938 in Rockingham County, NC to Carl and Rosa Lee Grogan.

Faye was a loving wife, mother and friend. She was a global traveler accompanying her military husband and children and engendered numerous friendships.
She enjoyed music, art, old movies and loved her friends. Faye knew who to call on for her salvation and prayer needs, her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Riley Goad; her parents, Carl and Rosa Grogan; brothers, Norman and Clifford Grogan; and her sister, Moncie Joyce.

Mrs. Goad is survived by her son, Carl "Eddie" Goad of Kathleen, Ga.; daughter, Debbie Goad of Boone; brother, John Grogan of Eden; one granddaughter, Bonnie Medina of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; a great granddaughter, Alyssa Medina; and her special ministering angel and friend on earth, Ellen Cashwell.

A funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm Monday, September 25, 2017 in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home with Rev. Larry West officiating. Burial will follow in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, September 25, 2017 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
