Carol Jean (Supples) Simek

Carol Jean Simek, 75, of Fayetteville, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2015 in Chapel Hill, NC. Born in Charleston W. VA on Nov.17, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Roy Supples and Nila Lilly Supples.

Jean was the matriarch of her family . Her family was not defined traditionally but by love, her love for those whose lives should happen to intersects hers. She was the pillar of strength  in her home and community. "Three things will last forever - faith, hope, and love - and the greatest of these is love." 1 Cor. 13:13.

Survivors include her husband Wallace Simek, of the home; three daughters, Kim Fleming, of Fayetteville, Terri Mobley, of Grand Prairie, TX, and Tanya Jones, of Fayetteville; two sons, Dirk Spaulding, of Colorado Springs, CO. John Alan Spaulding, of Foley, AL; nine grandchildren, Kevin Nelms, of Sumner, IW, Kimberly Nelms, Krystal Nelms, Amanda Clarke, all of Fayetteville, Brandy Spaulding, of Colorado Springs, Co, Lisa Bonifay, of Foley, AL, Danielle Morris, of Foley, AL, Matthew "Jr." Jones, Thomas Warren Jones, both of Fayetteville; eleven great grandchildren, Nieta Youngblood, James Taylor Vogt, both of Sumner, IW, Carolee Knight, Daniel Knight, Faith Knight, Aiden Knight, Tristen Nelms, all of Fayetteville, Aurora Lily Pool, of Colorado Springs, CO, Catherine Bonifay, Zander Bonifay, Libby Bonifay, all of Foley, AL.

A  funeral service will be held 10 am Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Lake Rim Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Rehere officiating. Graveside service will be held at 11 am Thursday, July 9, 2015,  at the Cunningham Memorial Park Cemetery in ST. Albans, W. VA .The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at the Lake Rim Baptist Church.
