Beulah "Frances" Travis

It is with great sadness that the family of Beulah "Frances" Travis, announces her passing at the age of 68 years old on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Frances was born April 11, 1949 in Sampson county, North Carolina to Veat Matthews and Beulah (Wrench) Matthews. She graduated from Central High School and married Harvey Travis on May 23, 1968. The Air Force sent them to Florida, Germany, Michigan and back to North Carolina. Together, they enjoyed traveling as well as spending time with family and friends. They loved watching their grandchildren play sports. Frances really enjoyed the outdoors, biking, running, swimming, camping, boating and fishing. She worked in radiology at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Left to honor Frances and remember her love are her two sons, Lee and Bobby (Debbie), five grandchildren; Kayla, Dawson, Parker, Colton and Duke Travis; brother,  Ashford Matthews; three sisters, YBeatrice (Hubert) Sheets, Lou (Gerald) Daniels, Ruth (Wayland) Pope; and many more nieces and nephews. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Stella and brothers Willie, Bobby, J.V. and Dent.

Visitation is Monday, November 6, 2017 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home 500 Ramsey Street Fayetteville NC 28301 with Pastor Jeff Burkhardt. Burial will be at Lafayette Memorial at 2301 Ramsey Street.
