Annie Grace Hall (Hall) Walsh

Mrs. Annie Hall Walsh, 98, of Fayetteville passed away on Tues. Oct. 6, 2015 at her home.

Mrs. Walsh, Ann to her friends, was born on Sept. 25, 1917 in Wilmington. She graduated from New Hanover High School in Wilmington and attended Women's College of Greensboro. Ann married Leon C. Walsh, Jr. on Dec. 5, 1941. They moved to Fayetteville in 1955. In addition to raising her children, Ann was the secretary for her husband's business, Walsh Heating and Air.

She was very active at Snyder Memorial Baptist Church for over 58 years, as a Sunday School teacher, Summer Vacation Bible School teacher and many other programs.

Ann is survived by her four children, Cynthia "Cindy" Irene Walsh Dunn, owner of Cindirene's Wine Shop in Ayden, NC and her husband, Charles "Chuck" Dunn, Leon "Lenny" C. Walsh, III, in Apex, works in Research Triangle, and wife, Debra, David H. Walsh, owner of Dewpoint Control Service in Wilmington, and wife, Emma, Stephen "Sonny" C. Walsh, owner of Sonny's Automotive in Fayetteville, and his partner, Mona; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

And special thanks to Ann's caregivers who helped Sonny take care of her for the last few years, Joshua Gilliam, Wayne, and Woodie. 

Everyone who knew Ann will miss her very much.   

A celebration of life and celebration of what would be Annie and Leon Walsh's 74th Anniversary will be held at 12:30 pm Sat. Dec. 5, 2015 at Oakdale Cemetery 520 N. 15th St. Wilmington,
